Steven R. Blust, age 65, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 5:38 P.M. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg, Illinois. He was born on May 9, 1956 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Byron Everett and Delores “Dee” (Lowery) Blust. After graduating from High School, he attended and graduated from Morrison Institute of Technology as Valedictorian of his class. Surviving is a brother, Dean (Jeanne) Blust of Monmouth, Illinois and a sister, Kelly (Tim) Lafferty of LaHarpe, Illinois; his mother, Dee Blust of Oneida, Illinois; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. He worked as a professional engineer, retiring from Bruner, Cooper & Zuck, Inc. in Galesburg, Illinois. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He played fantasy football and enjoyed riding his Harley. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Graveside Memorial Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg, Illinois with Rev. Jordan Knight officiating.
