Shirley M. Edson, 65, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 6:56 P.M. at the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Shirley was born September 15, 1952 in Peoria, the daughter of James and Patricia Edson. She enjoyed yard work, taking pictures, cleaning and cooking. Shirley loved her grandchildren and animals. She is survived by her 3 children, Carrie Edson of Galesburg, Barbara Cummings of Florida, William (Angel) Swank of Missouri, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Donna, and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Junior Edson, Johnny Clark, Bobby Myner Sr. Cremation rites will be accorded with the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois.
