Rick Pedigo

Richard “Rick” Pedigo, 56, of Galesburg, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 at his home.

Rick was born December 4, 1966 in Galesburg. He was the son of John and Karen Pedigo. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann Rohweder on June 4, 1988 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Wataga. Together they celebrated 35 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on June 20, 2023. He is survived by his daughter, Becka (Mario) Maldonado of Colona; two granddaughters, Kensley and Gracie; his father, John; and two sisters, Melissa (Mike) Noonan and Millie Pedigo. He was preceded by his wife, son, Paul and mother.

Rick was a graduate of Galesburg High School. After high school he joined the United States Army. After Rick was discharged from the Army, he went on to work at Maytag as a laborer, retiring in 2001. He loved to fish, was an overzealous collector of anything and everything, watching his television shows and gambling. Rick was an animal lover, and loved his mini dogs, cats, bunnies, parakeets and fish. He made any animal his pets but snakes. He was an avid Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He loved his wife fiercely and missed her with all of his heart.

Cremation rites will be accorded. No services are planned at this time. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory, Knoxville have been entrusted with her arrangements.
