Patricia J. “Pat” Woodside, age 83, of Oneida, Illinois died on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg, Illinois.

 

She was born on November 29, 1939 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She married Leland A. “Woody” Woodside on October 13, 1984 in Sparta, Illinois.

 

Surviving is a son, Edward “Buddy” Melton of Victoria, Illinois; two granddaughters: Alex (Gagan) Woodside Sinjh of New York, New York and Hannah L. Woodside of Oaxaca, Mexico; Special friends: Kathryn Wheeler of Woodhull, Illinois and her daughter, Angie (Brent) Litton of Woodhull, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter-in-law, Caroline (Freberg) Kelly.

 

She worked for the former Maytag of Galesburg, Illinois for thirty years, retiring in 2001. She loved kids, animals, flowers, dancing and her M & M’s. She also enjoyed camping at Little John.

 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Oneida, Illinois. Private graveside services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at the Oneida Cemetery, Oneida, Illinois.  Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
