Nola M. Markert

Nola M. Conger Markert, 67, of Galesburg, passed from this life on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 5:05 A.M. at the Seminary Manor in Galesburg. Nola was born March 30, 1948, daughter of Melvin H. and E. Lucille Conger. She is survived by her mother of Galesburg, brother, Bruce of Texas, nephew, Shawn (Teresa) Conger of Galesburg, and an Aunt, Bernita Luttrell of Ozark, Missouri. Nola graduated from Valley High School, in Fairview, Illinois. She worked for Illinois Power Company/Ameren for almost 38 years, retiring in 2010. Nola felt that she had been abundantly blessed in this life and believed in “paying it forward” when she could. Cremation rites will be accorded. No services will be held. Memorials may be made to Guardian Angels Humane Society, Galesburg, Illinois. The Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois is handling the arrangements.
