Michael Alan Dix

Michael A. Dix, 33, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 8:57 P.M. at the OSF St Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. Michael was born on October 12, 1983 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Martin Dix and Kathy Nevius. He married Erica Wanamaker on March 24, 2016 in Galesburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He also enjoyed working with his hands and playing video games. But most of all he loved spending time with his kids. Michael is survived by his wife; Erica Dix of Galesburg, 4 children; Devon Dix, Gabriel Dix, Elizabeth Dix, Preston Robb, mother; Kathy (and John Ellis) Ryan of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, father; Martin (and Bobbie) Dix of Roseville, Illinois, sister; Terrie (and Reggie Johnson) of West Frankfurt, Illinois, and 2 very special members of his family; Wanda and Gary Haneghan Sr. He was preceded in death by his 2 children, Logan and Elijah Dix. A graveside memorial service will take place at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded with the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois.
