Michael Lee Chaney

Michael L. Chaney, 74, of Galesburg, died on Thursday, June 25, 2020, 2:42 am at his home. Mike was born on October 25, 1945 in Galesburg. He was the son of William Fred Chaney and Jean (Bunhan) and Ed Pedigo. He is survived by nephews, Ty Chaney and Mike Chaney; step-sister, Tammy Chaney; friends Don Rohren and Michelle Disbennett; and caregivers, Margaret, Dawn and Yvonne. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David Chaney and friend, Donna Rohrer. Mike loved to study history, especially the Civil War Era, focusing on the Confederacy. He had an ornery sense of humor and loved keeping his care givers on their toes. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date.
