Mary E. Goodin, age 83, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 8:41 P.M. on Wednesday, November 18, 2021 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, Illinois. She was born on march 13, 1939 in Fairview, Illinois the daughter of William M. and Zelma (Landrith) McDorman. . She married J. D. Elmore on August 28, 1955 in Galesburg, Illinois, she then married Ken Goodin on May 8, 1983. Ken preceded her in death in May of 1992. Surviving is one daughter Christina M. (Mark) McCann of North Henderson, Illinois; five grandchildren, Misty Elmore of Galesburg, Illinois, Stacey Elmore of Abingdon, Illinois, Sara (Jamey) Harrison of North Henderson, Illinois, Joshua (Sami) Harrison of Alexis, Illinois, Ashley (Matt) Harrison of Alexis, Illinois; three great-grandchildren, John, Zaylee, and Kannen; and one sister, Patsy Schisler of Litchfield, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ken, one son: James D. Elmore, three brothers, William D McDorman, Charles Veal and James A.; one sister, Ethel M. Elmore. She worked for the former Ken’s Red & White Grocery and Blue Bell, both of Abingdon, Illinois. She also worked for former Protexall, Inc. and Swedough’s Doughnuts both of Galesburg, Illinois; and a seamstress. She enjoyed fishing and loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her cat, Lucky. Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services at this time. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory have been entrusted to handle arrangements.
