Kevin L. Powell

Kevin L. Powell, age 44, of Sterling, Illinois, died at 7:11 A.M. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois. He was born on July 24, 1974 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Steven and Cindy (Lovitt) Powell. He was raised by his mother and step-father, Douglas Good, in the Galesburg area, and graduated from Galesburg High School. On April 9, 1999, he married Angie M. (Bland) Bethel in Sterling. Kevin is survived by his wife, Angie Powell of Sterling; his two children: Chase Bethel, August Powell, both of Sterling; two step-children: Skyler Bethel, Jesse Bethel, both of Sterling; his father, Steven Powell of Tampa, Florida; his mother, Cindy Good of Galesburg; two grandchildren: Brayden Bethel, Olivia Bethel; and his siblings: David Powell, Steven Powell, Marilyn Powell, Bruce Good, Janet Good, and Douglas Good, all of Galesburg. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois, after which cremation rites will be accorded.
