Kenneth D. Davis

Kenneth “Kenny” D. Davis, 90, of Knoxville, died on Monday, June 22, 2020, 8:10 pm, at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville. Kenny was born on November 21, 1929 in Liberty Township of Ringgold County, Iowa. He was the son of Frank and Celestia (Darnell) Davis. Frank is preceded in death by his parents. Kenny served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Korean War Veteran. Kenny received the Purple Heart with 2 Gold Stars, Korean Service Medals with 3 Stars, National Defense Medal and United National Service Medal. He was a member of the Elks Club No. 894 of Galesburg. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, 11 AM, at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville. Visitation will be one-hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be at Knoxville Cemetery. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home of Knoxville has been entrusted with arrangements.
