Joshua D. “Josh” Burge, age 38, of Delong, Illinois died on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Care Center of Abingdon, Illinois. He was born on June 7, 1978 in Galesburg, Illinois the son of Dallas D. and Leslie A. Patch Burge. He attended Knoxville High School. He married Michelle M. Lynch Whitson on April 5, 2014 in Rural Gilson. Surviving is his wife, Michelle Burge of Delong, Illinois; four sons; Dallas and Josh Burge of Knoxville, Illinois; Mason and Brady Whitson of Delong, Illinois; one daughter, Kaleigh Whitson of Galesburg, Illinois; his parents, Dallas and Leslie Burge of Knoxville, Illinois; three brothers: Chad (Jennifer) Anderson of Elmwood, Illinois, Lucas (Charity) Burge and Jacob (Hillary) Burge of Knoxville, Illinois. He was preceded in death by two daughters. He worked in the Power House at Gates Rubber Company in Galesburg, Illinois and also worked construction in his spare time. He enjoyed riding his Harley, grilling, and loved to play in the dirt with his skid-steer, working on his trucks, and being with family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Don Miller will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Illinois.
