Helen A. Roselle, 94, of Ellisville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba, Illinois. Helen was born February, 20, 1922 the daughter of Harvey and Edith (Peck) Brown. She married Raymond L. Roselle on February 28, 1946 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband. She enjoyed hand quilting, crocheting, and traveling. Helen was a member of the Ellisville Goal Getters, Wiley Lutheran Church, and she helped organize the Ellisville Senior Citizens Card Club. She is survived by 2 daughters, Kathy Roselle of Ellisville, Illinois, Jane (and James) Neville of Canton, Illinois, 2 grandsons, James (and Julie) Neville of Normal, Illinois, John (and Brenda) Neville of Galesburg, Illinois, 2 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jocelyn, and several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Roselle, son, Dennis Raymond, parents, Harvey and Edith Brown, brother, Donald Elmer Brown, and sister, Audrey Kneer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois. The funeral service will directly follow the visitation at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be held at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in rural Galesburg, Illinois. Pastor Gary Schmidt will be officiating the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clayberg Nursing Home Activity Fund or to the Ellisville/Fairview Fire Rescue.
