Glenn H. Johnson, age 81 of rural Maquon, Illinois died at 4:10 P.M. on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg, Illinois. He was born on December 19, 1934 in Oak Hill, Illinois the son of Henry and Lois McKown Johnson. He married Phyllis Davis on October 2, 1964 in Yates City, Illinois. Surviving are two daughters: Diane Johnson of Galesburg, Illinois and Sheryl (Bret) Weaver of Canton, Illinois; two grandchildren: Corey and Cyle LaFollett; two brothers: Paul (Bonnie) Johnson of Maquon, Illinois and Earle Johnson of Maquon, Illinois; He was preceded in death by his parents. He farmed all his life in Maquon, Illinois, during this time he also worked at the former Strode Garage for a short time. He served in the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of the Peoria County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandsons. Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 2 pm at the Elmwood Cemetery in Elmwood, Illinois with the Rev. Krey Leesman officiating. Family and friends are both invited to attend the Graveside Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Maquon Fire Department.
