George Elisha Fitchpatrick

George Elisha Fitchpatrick Sr., 73, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at 8:35 A.M. at his home in Galesburg. He was born February 21, 1944 in Galesburg, the son of William Fitchpatrick Sr. and Ruth Hedden Fitchpatrick. George married Linda Lou Wilson on April 2, 1966 in Galesburg. She passed away May 27, 2011. He is survived by his 3 children; Judy (Jon) Durkin of Galesburg, Lori (Roger) Cameron of Galesburg, George (Diane) Fitchpatrick Jr. of Abingdon, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 sister, Martha German. George was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Fitchpatrick, parents, William and Ruth Fitchpatrick Sr., brothers, Bill Fitchpatrick Jr., and Bob Fitchpatrick. George was a member of the Galesburg First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed hunting, stock car racing, motorcycle racing, and attending his grandchildrens various events. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville. The funeral service will be Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home. Interment will be held at the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in rural Galesburg. Pastor Harold Berrian will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be left to either the OAKS Senior Center or the Galesburg First Church of the Nazarene.
