Garnel B. Huber

Garnel B. Huber, age 77, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 11:28 P.M. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the OSF Robert L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois.

She was born on August 31, 1945 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Ora V. and Barbara V. (Everett) Huber.

She is survived her sister, Debra Boydstun of Galesburg, Illinois; sister-in-law: Sandra Huber of Galesburg, Illinois; her best friend of many years, Lisa (John) Thompson of Knoxville, Illinois; adopted grandson, Shane Thompson of Knoxville, Illinois; many nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Ronald Everett, three brothers, Fred, Steve, and Jim, one sister Dory, and three nieces, Lorrie Gibbons, Betty Jo Carpenter, and Julie Waggoner.

She spent a lot of her time with her grandparents. Early in her life she lived in Dahinda, Illinois and worked for Glen Kendricks painting houses. Later she worked for Derby Industries until she retired in 2007. She enjoyed dancing, fishing and telling “hoody” stories to her family and friends. She was loved by her friends and family.
