Ernest Gene Cisco

Ernest Gene Cisco was born August 1, 1936 in Leachville, Arkansas to Bessy and Claude Cisco. He passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois. He married Wanda Bishop on June 1, 1958 in Hernando, Mississippi. They had three beautiful children together over their 62-year marriage. Surviving is his wife, Wanda Cisco of Galesburg, Illinois; a brother, Elbert Cisco of South Haven, Michigan; a son, Steve (Ruthie) Cisco of Lyle, Tennessee; his daughters: Shari (Rod) Larkins of Spring, Texas, Sandra (Gary) Bryan of Knoxville, Illinois; twelve grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, father-in-law, mother-in-law, and sweet granddaughter born too soon. Ernest was a member of Abingdon Assembly of God. He was devoted to church, he enjoyed singing in the choir, and spending time with family. He loved all of his grandkids dearly and his dogs. He could always be caught singing and whistling. He loved to make people laugh and was the life of the party. Cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life with food will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 4:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Fellowship Center in Knoxville, with a time of sharing beginning at 5:30 P.M.
