Edward L. Vallas

Edward L. Vallas, 62, of East Peoria passed away at his home on February 2, 2022. Ed was born on October 11, 1959 in Galesburg. He was the son of Deno and June (Elvey) Vallas. He married Carol (Peters) Slagel on August 31, 2001, they later divorced. He is survived by his siblings, Evelyn Johnston and Michael Vallas, both of Galesburg, and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Nancy Jo. Ed graduated from Williamsfield High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Ed was a semi-truck driver for Halvor Lines for many years. He enjoyed playing pool, darts and going fishing. He was a very unique individual. Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are planned at this time. A private burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory will be assisting the family with their services.
