GALESBURG, ILLINOIS Dorothy I. Petty, 55, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 10:02 A.M., Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Aperion Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois. Dorothy was born on December 5, 1960 in Mishawaka, Indiana, the daughter of John F. and Audrey M. Yost Petty. Dorothy is survived by her siblings, Earl (Brenda) Martin of Middletown, Iowa, Barbara (Bob) Houston of Galesburg, Illinois and Dennis (Paula) Martin of Yelm, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents. Dorothy was a member of the Colonial Baptist Church in Galesburg, Illinois. She loved cats. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the East Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg, Illinois with Rev. Darrell Grimm officiating.
