Dorcas A. Fry

Dorcas A. Fry, age 88, of Knoxville, Illinois died at 7:10 P.M. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Courtyard Estates in Knoxville, Illinois. She was born on August 27, 1932, the daughter of Kenneth O. and Mildred M. (Cravens) Witherall. She married John E. Fry on October 6, 1956 at the United Methodist Church in Knoxville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2018. Surviving are many cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She worked for Fidelity Saving & Loan in Galesburg, Illinois and Galesburg Cottage Hospital in the Medical Records Office. She was an active member of the Knoxville United Methodist Church, Methodist Women, the M.I. Club, the former Order of Eastern Star, Chapter#880 of Knoxville, Illinois and then transferred to Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #235 in Galesburg, Illinois. She enjoyed playing games, such as Dominos and Cribbage, baking and the Get up and go Traveling Club. She loved to collect Clowns and Butterflies. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Knoxville, Illinois with Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and Order of Eastern Star Services at 11:30 AM. Rev. David Mustain will officiate. Burial will the held at a later date at the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Knoxville United Methodist Church or Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #235 of Galesburg, Illinois.
