Donna Lane

Donna Johnson Lane, born on January 31, 1934 in Bushnell, Illinois, passed away at her home in Galesburg, on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. She married Melvin “Friday” Lane on May 4, 1956. He preceded her in death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; Bill & Irma (Chambers) Johnson, 4 sisters; Maxine Westergard, Karen Langford, Sharon Smith, Bernadine Johnson, 2 brothers; Wayne Johnson, Chuck Johnson, along with several aunts and uncles. Donna is survived by her 3 sons; Michael McGill, Dennis Lane, Kevin Lane, 1 daughter; Deborah Pierce, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She worked at the Galesburg Mental Hospital for 32 years. She also worked for a nursing home and in home care. She enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing. Per her request cremation rites will be accorded with the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. A celebration of life services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Rick and Linda Foster residence, 509 West Monmouth Street, Abingdon, Illinois 61410.
