Donald McDorman

Donald McDorman, 85, of Abingdon, passed away at home with his family at his side on Sunday, November 6, 2022.

Don was born on February 13, 1937 in Fairview. He was the son of Woodrow Wilson and Elsie Elizabeth (Stewart) McDorman. He married Patricia Hacker. She preceded him in death on June 17, 2022. Don is survived by his sons, Mark McDorman of Gilson, Michael McDorman of Galesburg and Dirk Dawson of Avon. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Pat.

Don was a graduate of Galesburg High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Since the age of 19, he was a manager for many factories across the United States. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing golf, gambling and betting on the ponies.

Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory, Knoxville are in charge of arrangements.
