Delores Mae Morss

Delores Mae Morss, 87, of Galesburg, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, 11:00 PM at Seminary Manor, Galesburg. Delores was born on October 20, 1933, in Knoxville. She was the daughter of Frank Hood and Edith Hannah (Halsey) Morss. Delores is survived by her children, Danny (Rose) McKee of Estero, Florida, Debbie (Brent) Delk of Smyrna, TN and Dianna Johnson of Knoxville; daughter-in-law, Linda McKee of Sahuarita, Arizona; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Denny McKee; siblings Eve, Frances, Maude Roberts, Harold Morss and Esther Vaughn; and son-in-law, Mike Johnson. Delores was a 1952 graduate of Knoxville High School. She moved to Nebraska in 1984 and then to Smyrna, TN in 1989, after coming home for a few years. While in Smyrna, she worked for the Waldron District Center. Delores also worked for OMC Gale Products for 16 ½ years. Gravesides services will be held at 1:00 PM, on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Cook Cemetery, rural Maquon. Rev. Melinda Bern will officiate. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory of Knoxville has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorials may be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
