David Wayne Sams

David Wayne Sams, age 58, of East Galesburg, Illinios, passed away at his home on October 22, 2017. David was born on March 8, 1959 to Roy D. (R.D.) and Wanda R. (Grasty) Sams in Monterey, Tennessee. He married Toni Boone on March 2, 2013. Surviving is his wife Toni Sams of East Galesburg, Illinois; his four sons: Nick (Keisha) Sams of Tennessee, Brandon Sams of Ohio, Justin Sams of Williamsfield, Illinois and Rocky Sams of Brimfield, Illinois; four step-children: Clay Raska, Shawna Raska, Buddy Raska, his mother, Wanda Sams of Elmore, Illinois; a sister, Tammy (Kenny) Matson of Lincoln, Illinois; and a brother, Joseph (Stephanie) Sams of Elmore, Illinois; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother. David worked most of his life as a roofer and in various factory jobs. There will be a Celebration of Life at his family home in Elmore, Illinois on October 28, 2017 beginning at 2:00 P.M.
