David L. Dahl, age 69, of rural Dahinda, Illinois died at 5:20 A.M. on Monday, June 1, 2020 at his home in Dahinda, Illinois. He was born on December 22, 1950 in Aledo, Illinois, the son of Charles A. and Betty Jane (Morrell) Dahl. He graduated from Galesburg High School. On August 6, 1996 he married Jennie L. Lanman. Surviving is his wife, Jennie L. Dahl of rural Dahinda, Illinois; his children: Jeff Dahl of Galesburg, Illinois, Carmen (Troy) Taft of Wichita, Kansas, Dusty (Kay) Lenhart of Perry, Oklahoma, and Shannon (Tish) Lenhart of Searcy, Arkansas; five grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. His siblings: Jerry (Joyce) Dahl of Galesburg, Illinois, Joyce (Kenny) Kiefer of Galesburg, Illinois, Debbie Simpson of Peoria, Illinois. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jim “Ed” and Dick Dahl. He and his wife lived in the Colorado Springs for 16 years. He worked for Voorhees Window and Siding, Galesburg, Illinois before becoming part owner in 2016. He served in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and face masks are preferred. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association.
