Dan R. Reynolds, age 59, of Oneida, Illinois died at 5:10 P.M. on Monday, October 19, 2020 at his home in Oneida, Illinois surrounded by his family. Dan was born on September 2, 1961 in Peoria, Illinois the son of Donald and Sharon (Libby) Reynolds. He attended both ROVA schools and Bethany Christian Academy. He married Ann M. (Fitchpatrick) Scott on July 17, 2010 in Galesburg, Illinois. Surviving is his wife, Ann Reynolds of Oneida, Illinois; his parents, Donald and Sharon Reynolds of Oneida, Illinois; his children: Daniel (Amber) Reynolds of Galesburg, Illinois, Terry (Candance) Scott of Galva, Illinois and Michael Scott of Knoxville, Illinois; nine grandchildren; his sister, Diana L. (Geoffrey) Hurd of Knoxville, Illinois. Numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Michael and infant sister, Dory Ann. He owned and operated the former Skate Palace in Galesburg, Illinois for many years. Everyone knew him as “Disco Dan”. He owned and operated Reynolds Backhoe Service and worked for Reynolds Excavating of Oneida, Illinois. He worked in the outdoors most of his life. He attended the First Church of the Open Bible in Galesburg, Illinois. He enjoyed motorcycling and fantasy football. Due to COVID-19 social restrictions visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois, with Rev. Mark Dexter Officiating. Interment will be in the Oneida Cemetery, Oneida, Illinois. In-lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist in funeral expenses.
