Cathie Kay Wilson

Cathie Kay Wilson, age 78, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 10:44 A.M. on Monday, December 23, 2019 at her home in Galesburg. She was born on March 12, 1941 in Galesburg, the daughter of Melvin and Melva (Hornback) Matson. She was reared and educated in the Galesburg area, and eventually married Norman Anselmi. She later was married to Wayne Wilson. Cathie is survived by her three children: Michael Matson, Crystal (and John) Burnett of East Moline, Illinois, Troy Anselmi of East Moline; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and six siblings: Linda Kiethley of Galesburg, Lucille Thurman-Foster of Mississippi, Vicki (and Steve) Morrell of Gilson, Illinois, Star Gould of New York, Tracy Caldwell of Nebraska, and Judy of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Joan. Cathie attended beauty school and after graduation went on to own and operator her own beauty shop in the Galesburg area for many years. She was a skilled cosmetologist and she greatly enjoyed her career. Cathie will also be remembered for her great love of cats. Cremation rites will be accorded.
