Brenda L. Park

Brenda L. Park, 59, of Yates City, died on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, 5:45 AM, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Brenda was born on December 5, 1960 in Rushville, Illinois. She was the daughter of Jim and Betty (Coil) Park. Brenda is survived by her daughter, Christina McCoy; three sisters Debra (Michael) Stambaugh of Canton, Rebecca (John) Hubbard of Peoria, and Lina (Tom) Smith of Nacogdoches, TX; three grandchildren, Haley, Erika, and Brian; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Iva (Giles) Park; daughter, Jamie; two brothers and one sister. Brenda attended Farmington schools. She was a certified nurses assistant for Bellwood Nursing Home for over twenty years. She has spent the last five years working at Country Comfort Nursing Home in Elmwood. Brenda loved her job and her residents. Brenda also loved being a grandma and spending time with her grandchildren. Brenda’s one of a kind personality and spark was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family burial of cremated remains will be held on a later date at the Yates City Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted with Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory, Knoxville.
