Billie Jean Bailey, 62, of Victoria Rod and Gun Club, formerly of Altona, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 8:33 P.M. at the Marigold Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois. Billie was born on November 6, 1953 in Canton, Illinois, the daughter of Kenneth and Hazel (Bitner) Kinzer. She graduated from Galva High School with the class of 1971. She married Mike Bailey on November 21, 1970 in Galva, Illinois. Billie faithfully served the ROWVA School District as a custodian for 32 years. She loved the outdoors and observing nature. She enjoyed nature walks and going on deer rides. She is survived by her husband, Mike Bailey of the Victoria Rod and Gun Club, Victoria, Illinois, 2 children; Zacory (and Amy) Bailey of Kewanee, Illinois, Heidi Bailey of Galesburg, Illinois, mother; Hazel Kinzer of Galva, Illinois, 7 grandchildren; Rheagan Bainbridge of Galva, Katie Bainbridge of Galva, Kenya Hodge of Kewanee, Makenzie Bailey of Galesburg, Seth Bainbridge of Galva, Iziaha Lane of Knoxville, Patrick Brown of Burlington, Iowa, 3 great-grandchildren; Bransen, Xavier, Kaidyn, 1 sister; Sue (and Bill) Hanson of Victoria, 1 brother, Bruce (and Shelley) Kinzer of Bishop Hill, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Kinzer and son, Cole Bailey. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 4:00 P.M to 6:00 P.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Oneida, Illinois. A graveside funeral service will take place on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Altona, Illinois. Memorial contributions can be left to the family.
