Betty Jean McCullough passes away November 12, 2019. She was born on May 4, 1925 to Louis Lowell and Francis Snare in Galesburg, Illinois. She married Vincent Kennedy in Peoria, Illinois. He passed away in 1959. She married Ted McCullough in 1976 in Galesburg, Illinois, He passed away in 1998. She had six children James (Ginger) Kennedy, San Diego, California, Patricia (Dave) Asbury, Gilson, Illinois, Catherine Pulaski, Dahinda, Illinois, Danny (Diana) Kennedy, Merritt Island, Florida; sons, Michael Kenney and Thomas Kennedy; one son-in-law, Charlie Pulaski deceased. Eight grandchildren: Jennifer Kennedy, Billingham, Cape Canaveral, Florida, Lisa Kennedy, San Diego, California, Melissa Asbury Lindquist, Woodhull, Illinois, David Kennedy, Alpine, California, Ellyson Kennedy, Orlando, Florida, Jeff Kennedy, cocoa, Beach, Florida, Andrew Asbury, Gilson, Illinois, Jacob Kennedy, Aguanga, California; Great Grandchildren: Kelsey Lindquist, Macomb, Illinois, Anna Billingham, Cocoa Beach, Florida, Louell White, Orlando, Florida, Maxine Kennedy, Alpine, California. She worked at Galesburg Research Hospital, Grady’s for twenty-five years cooking, she was active with the Stearman flying from the beginning till moving to California in 1988 to take care of her mother. She had been a member of the St. Patrick’s alter and Rosary Society, Cub Scout leader, and a member of the Moose. She had a special devotion to Saint Jude. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Galesburg, Illinois. There will be a celebration of life at 1:00 PM at Andy Asbury’s, at 1667 Highway 150 East, Gilson, Illinois. Memorial may be made to Saint James Altar and Rosary or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
