Beth A. Fell

Beth A. Fell, age 89, of Knoxville, Illinois formerly of Oneida, Illinois died at 7:07 A.M. on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Courtyard Estates in Knoxville, Illinois. She was born on June 5, 1927 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Arthur L. and Elizabeth Burmeister Nelson. She graduated from Galesburg High School in Galesburg, Illinois. She married Kenneth E. Fell on May 21, 1950 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2016. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth R. Fell of Oneida, Illinois and Keith N. (Teresa) Fell of Oneida, Illinois; one daughter, Karen B. (Clifford) Lee of Oneida, Illinois; five grandchildren, Clint Fell, Sarah Freymuth, Luke Rylander, Lisa Binash, and Josh Rylander; four great grandchildren, Keigan Rylander, Braxton Rylander, Cole Freymuth, and Abby Fell; Also surviving are two sisters: Florence Edmondson of Springfield, Missouri and Ellen Borth of Galesburg, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Patricia Isherwood. Beth was a 50 plus year member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star being active in the former Oneida and Rio Chapter 313 and current member of the Galesburg Chapter 235 and a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Henderson Grove, Illinois where she was very active in the Church groups and teaching Sunday school. She had a passion for Bird and wildlife watching. She had also worked for the Galesburg Hi-Lo Grocery Store for eleven years. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Oneida Cemetery in Oneida, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church, FISH Food Pantry or Compassus Hospice & Palliative Care.
