William R. "Bill" Fitch, age 46, of 320 N. Cedar Street, Galesburg, Illinois died Sunday, June 8, 2008 at 7:06 A.M. at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois. He was born on August 7, 1961 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Walter Robert "Bob" and Lillian M. Peterson Fitch. He married Cynthia Lewis on September 11, 1982 in Galesburg, Illinois. He later married Gretchen Penfold on July 29, 2005 in Galesburg, Illinois. She survives of Galesburg, Illinois.
Also surviving are three daughters, Candice Bailey Fitch of Galesburg, Illinois, Natasha Manana Bentley of Galesburg, Illinois and Sasha Sirocco Bentley of Galesburg, Illinois; three sons, PFC William Robert "Robb" Fitch of Galesburg, Illinois currently serving in the Marines in Iraq, Tyler Joseph Fitch of Galesburg, Illinois and Cameron Jacob Fitch of Galesburg, Illinois and his mother, Lillian M. Fitch of Galesburg, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father: Walter Robert "Bob" Fitch.
He was reared and educated in Galesburg, Illinois graduating from Galesburg High School in 1979. He worked as a contractor for W.R. Fitch Construction in Galesburg, Illinois. He then was a realtor working for Mel Foster of Galesburg, Illinois since 1995 where he received the Realtor of the Year for 2007-2008. He was a member of the Community Bible Church of Knoxville, Illinois. He was a member of the local and state level realtor organizations; Western Home Builders Association; Galesburg Chamber of Commerce; Planning Commission of Galesburg and Christmas in Action. He was involved in "The Weekend" formerly called "Chrysalis". He enjoyed dancing to 80's music, watching movies and spending time with family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois with Funeral Services at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Cremation Rites will be accorded with Private Graveside Memorial Services to be held on Monday, June 16, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Family.
