GALESBURG, ILLINOIS
Wayne W. Hilligoss, age 47, of Galesburg, Illinois died on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 7:21 P.M. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.
He was born on November 17, 1964 in Galesburg, Illinois the son of Frank and Sandra Gillenwater Hilligoss. He was raised and educated in Galesburg, Illinois attending Galesburg High School. He married Debra Walters, then later married Laura Howard.
Surviving are his parents, Sandra (Leroy) Kelso of Galesburg, Illinois and Frank (Jane) Hilligoss of Laverne, Tennessee. Also surviving is a daughter, Tara Hilligoss of rural Gilson, Illinois and a son, Shawn Hilligoss of rural Fairview, Illinois. Two grandchildren, Jake Rogers and Gabriella Johnson. , Illinois. One sister, Wednesday (Nick McGlown) Hilligoss of Galesburg, Illinois. Two brothers, Donavon (Elvira) Hilligoss of Nicaragua, and Drake (Andrea) Hilligoss of Galesburg, Illinois. One half-sister, Sherry Hilligoss of Kentucky and one half-brother, Jeff Jackson of Galesburg, Illinois. He was preceded in death by only his grandparents.
He was a self-employed painter in the Galesburg area.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and drawing.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Illinois. There will be no funeral. Memorials may be made to the Family. On-line condolences and sympathy cards may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
