Life Legacy
Kathleen M. Folger, age 62 of Williamsfield, Illinois died at 7:56 A.M. on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.
She was born on October 18, 1948 the daughter of Waverly and Ilene Kell Naslund in Galesburg, Illinois. She was reared and educated in Williamsfield, Illinois graduating from the Williamsfield High School in 1966. She married Jim Folger on June 19, 1966 at the Dahinda united Methodist Church in Dahinda, Illinois. He survives of Williamsfield, Illinois.
Also surviving is a daughter: Cathie L. (Jim) Gibbs of Williamsfield, Illinois. One son: Doug Folger of Gurnee, Illinois. Four Grandchildren: Brittany Self, Nicole Self, Sydney Folger, and Bryce Folger. One brother: Larry (Janet) Naslund of Pekin, Illinois. Her mother: Ilene Naslund Buskirk of Galesburg, Illinois. Her special dog: "Jack" She was preceded in death by her father and stepfather, Robert Buskrik.
She worked with her husband with Folger's Auction Service for the past 25 years as the cashier. She enjoyed her grandkids and shopping for them. She loved dogs and loved to read.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, July 29, 2011 at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Illinois. Burial will be in the Williamsfield Cemetery, Williamsfield, Illinois. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
