DOROTHY H. WHITE, age 88, of Galesburg, Illinois died on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois. She was born on June 5, 1922 in East Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Samuel and Ella Dell Wood Bybee. She married Virgil Homer White on August 9, 1937 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1976.
Surviving are grandchildren, Charles Dillon, Jr of Galesburg, Illinois, Deanne (David) Cherrington of Galesburg, Illinois, Toni Raska of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Marsha Coyne of Milan, Illinois; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter: Betty Jo Lewis.
She worked as a nurse in area hospitals and nursing homes.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Milton Marquith officiating. There will be no Visitation. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois in charge of arrangements.
