Geoffrey W. Hurd, CFSP, MBIE

Geoffrey is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He graduated from the Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois in 1984 with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science. He has been employed by the Hurdco, Inc. for most of his 24 years in the funeral business.

Geoffrey is active in the Illinois Funeral Directors Association and served as it's President from June 0f 2007 until June of 2008. He is also a member of the Ethics Association.

Geoffrey was awarded the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) in 1998 by the Academy of Professional Funeral Servicer Practice. Its goals; to recognize those practioners who have volunterly entered into a program of personal and professional growth, to raise and improve the standards of funeral services, and to encourage practitioners to make continuing education a life-long process in their own self interest, the interest of the families they serve, and the community in which they serve.

Member of the American Society of Embalmers and the British Institute of Embalmers, (MBIE).

George and Marilyn Hurd

George W. Hurd is the current President of Hurdco, Inc. which includes, Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Oneida, Maquon, Illinois and Hurdco Cremation Services in Knoxville, Illinois.

Mr. Hurd is pictured here with his wife, Marilyn Hurd.  Marilyn is the Secretary/Treasurer of Hurdco, Inc.  In this picture,Mr. Hurd is recieving his 40-year Certificate from the Illinois Funeral Directors Associaton.

Megan M. Hurd

Megan is a graduate of the Carl Sandburg College Mortuary School, Class of 2006.

Megan resides in Bradley, Illinois.  She currently works for the Schreffler Funeral Homes and Cremation Center in Kankakee, Illinois.  They are located in Kankakee, Bradley, Herscher, and Bourbonnais, Illinois. 

Megan is a member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.
